Exit polls are showing that white males are overwhelmingly backing McSame. It's tragic that even in this day and age people are still voting for a candidate based solely on their skin color. I thought America had outgrown such overt acts of racial predjudice, but I guess not.
I just hope that the Black Community gets out and votes in full force this election.
Woot, first. Anyway, whats wrong with people, racism shouldn't even be a factor in this... it's the elections for heavens sake, get over your prejudices and choose the most able person.

Oh, honey, that ship has sailed. Competent people don't get into politics - only narcissistic would-be dictators do. I always vote for gridlock. The less government centrally plans, the better.

It's like a Folsom Street Fair on the news shows right now! All smiles and erections!
Finally, no more jingoism coming from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. No longer will we be subjected to constant pro-U.S. propaganda. Never again will we be allowed to put our own selfish best interest ahead of the everyone else.
God Damn America, baby!!!

Well it looks like McSame threw in the towel way to early. I was hoping for a knock down, chad hanging, nail stretching cliff hanger.
Now to see if the Shrub steps in and nullifies the whole day on some executive purgative. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.
PS Did anyone notice all the different people of color the MSM brought out from behind the curtain to show solidarity to his specialness. Talk about pandering!

PSS
The MSM almost threw their arm out of joint patting themselves on the back with Mr. O's win. Like without them he would not have won. And maybe he would not have if they had reported on half of what will be find out in the months ahead.

Stop whining, for crying out loud. This is an historic day. Bush/Cheney were SO goddamn bad, Republicans were not only thrown out of office, but America elected its first black President. This will go down as BUSH'S ONE GREAT LEGACY!

Yes Brandy, this will go down as the Great Liberator’s, sorry, Commander in Thief’s legacy. Like President Clinton, President elect Obama will struggle to find his feet in the first few months on the job. He will be given all the be given all the support that the Democratic Underground gave Shrub while he tried to find his feet in the first few weeks on the job, (see Hainan Island incident).

"the Great Liberator"
And who's HE when he's at home?
Posted by: me24 | November 05, 2008 at 03:23 AM
"For younger people, white and black, his vision seemed entirely straightforward. It is the country they already know, and they expressed great enthusiasm. Finally, they said, a politician who recognizes the racial differences that are part of their lives and no big deal. For young blacks and other minorities, Obama's place at the pinnacle of official power lifts a coarse cloak that has blanketed their lives and dreams -- the stultifying burden of being judged, whether they succeed or fail, on the basis of their race.
"For others of us at an advanced age, Obama's success is more shocking. We can see it as a monumental rebuke to tragic history -- the ultimate defeat of "white supremacy."
"That vile phrase was embedded in American society (even the Constitution) from the outset and was still in common usage when some of us were young. Now it is officially obsolete. Racism will not disappear entirely, but the Republican "Southern strategy" that marketed racism has been smashed.
"Americans will now be able to see themselves differently, North and South, white and black. The changes will spread through American life in ways we cannot yet fully imagine. Let us congratulate ourselves on being alive at such a promising moment."

Dunno. Apparantly there is this guy who liberated the Afghanistani women from a regime that foebade them to even get an education or recieve medical attention. I have also heard that before him Iraqi babies were dying of starvation in an oil for food programme, but he stopped that. Iraqi Shia's were being oppressed by a minority regime but he ended that. I also heard that there were these people called marsh arabs who lived in an area of unique bio-diversity and were living an eon old culture in these marshes, but an opressive regime drained the marshes and shotta lotta the inhabitants and the wild life, but this guy comes in who cares nothing for the enviroment, gets rid of the regime, restores the marshes so the wild life and the surviving inhabitants return. I also heard that he had something to do with a white house and did more for the African continent than any other inhabitant of that building, by only dealing with governments that were bringing about democracy and accountability. Can't think of his name though.
