A special thanks to all you White Niggers out there who loyally handed Indiana to your native daughter tonight. For those of you in North Carolina who have yet to cast your vote in support of Hillary, I have two words: "FREE GAS!!"
Oh, you like the sound of that, do you? I'll say it again: FREE GAS all summer long to everyone in North Carolina who shows Hillary some love tonight.
If you don't think she can do it, guess again. She's already promised a nationwide summer vacation from the federal gas tax, paid for with a new punitive tax on Big Oil. Progressive logic then dictates that all she has to do is amp it up a few degrees to say, a 100% tax on all oil profits, and everyone in North Carolina can enjoy free fill-ups all summer long.
It's simple economics, folks. But don't bother confirming that with any economists. They're all either elitist Repugs or on Obama's payroll.
So to recap: Free gas for all North Carolinans all summer long. Especially for Black males between the ages of 18 and 35. The polls are probably closed, so that means there's still plenty of time to get out there and vote in the more Democratic areas.
"Yet he's still going to get his narrow ass handed to him by a hobbled old man come November."
McGeriatric has said a lot of dumb things. And his gaffes are going to get a lot more publicity when the Democrats finally fix on their candidate. I wouldn't jump the gun, Exorcist. Or the Iranian border ... so to speak.

"I wouldn't jump the gun, Exorcist. Or the Iranian border ... so to speak."
Of course you wouldn't. You're a liberal mick that has the U.S. to eliminate threats to the free world. Not to mention threats to the Jooooz. But keep your seat under the 4-leaf clover and let the men-folk take care of the heavy-lifting.
And anyone who thinks that the MOST liberal Senator in the House is going to convince enough bible-clinging to, gun-clutching, anti-homosexual/illegal-alien, red-white&blue blooded AmeriKKKans to vote for his astoundingly naive ass is tripin without a suitcase.

Turlough Hill doesn't kill fish.
Because it's not a dam.
It's also not a power generator. It's a rechargeable battery. Turlough Hill a clever design to keep the main electric grid operating near peak efficiency, but it generates nothing by itself. It stores power generated by the rest of Ireland's Electric Supply Board's 4300MW powerplants which run on:
Petroleum: 64%
Coal: 21%
Peat: 6%
Hydro: 5%
Incidentally, ESD's total electric production is about 2/3 that of Grand Coulee Dam, or the Hanford Nuclear plant's KN, KW, or N-Reactors. Of course being a relatively non-industrialized country with a dispersed population, you don't need that much.

More than 90% of your power comes from burning hydrocarbons. That's not very Gaia-friendly now, is it? Are you the kettle or the pot?

Bravo Che!

Turlough Hill? THAT'S where the hole in the ozone is! I KNEW IT. We either have a hole in the ozone from chloroflourocarbs or greenhouse gases from fossil, coal and nuke carbs. Which is it? Are the gases escaping or staying?
I am so confused.
Posted by: feelthelove | May 07, 2008 at 01:29 PM
No wonder the cost of peat is so damn high.
Posted by: Fist of Etiquette | May 07, 2008 at 02:03 PM
Well if coal is a diamond waiting to happen, peat is coal waiting to happen. Or maybe oil, if it's muddy enough. Either way, it's potentially a hell of an investment for a speculator with a little time on his hands.
Posted by: Che Gaiavera | May 07, 2008 at 02:29 PM
Huh. Pretty quiet from the leftards. I thought for certain we'd see some kind of whacked-out spin by now.
Very well done Che. It's always a pretty amazing feat to get the resident lefties (or any of them) to STFU for more than 2 hours on any subject. Because we all know they are the ultimate authority on every subject known to mankind and we's juz stoooped drewlers.

"Of course being a relatively non-industrialized country"
--Che
Being a TINY country, one tenth the size of Texas ...
"you don't need that much"
We don't USE much. Nobody in Ireland uses as much energy as the average American. Either in our homes or our cars.
"It's also not a power generator. It's a rechargeable battery. Turlough Hill a clever design to keep the main electric grid operating near peak efficiency, but it generates nothing by itself."
Turlough Hill obviates the need for another power station. It stores power generated by the other stations at off peak times, and makes that power available (in a very clean and efficient manner) at peak times. THAT is the point. And it provides that power within one minute of start-up, as I understand it.

Would you ever go and deal with your unfinished business on the thread below? You were asked a question which you have run away from answering. You were "shredded" there yourself, and you come up here pretending nothing happened. Have some guts and go back and answer the question, instead of lying about it, as you did on the thread below.

I wouldn't call Che that, but you sure are.

Looks like a hell of a lot of them have voted for him already. And despite their strange gun-clutching, anti-homosexual views, they know a geriatric when they see one. Put a zimmer-frame in charge of the USA? I don't think so. You didn't even want him yourself ...

LOLOLOL!!!! OMG!!! "(in a very clean and efficient manner)... LOL! But of course! It's Irish! With a touch of your magic leprechans wand, you can now burn hydrocarbons cleanly and efficiently. Buh-raaaaa-vo!!
"Nobody in Ireland uses as much energy as the average American. Either in our homes or our cars." - said the proudly indoctrinated little socialist. Little homes and little cars for little minded people. Well done. Anyway, until you provide a source for that comment I'm going to consider it a load of horse-shit.

Regarding FoUSA; when the hell are you and your sock-puppets ever going to answer even one of the miriad questions that have been asked of you. Over many, many, many threads there have been literaly countless questions posed that you leftards won't touch.
Until then, get the hell off FoUSA's case you fuggin' hypocrite.

I don't think Che's gonna dig a compliment coming from the likes of you.

Cite a few please.
Given that there are so many, it should be dead easy. I'll be back later to have a look.
Posted by: irish | May 07, 2008 at 04:53 PM
You stupid arrogant prick, look for yourself. It is dead easy! What are ya, fucking lazy or something?
By the way, ever hear of wikipedia? Yeah, see, they got this whole page on Turlough Hill with specs and everything about operations plus many links.
Fucking 'tardo.

Apparently I was asked a question...
Then provide evidence showing that you asked me a question ,
and also provide evidence that I did not answer that question.
I will need quotes, names, times and dates.
Not happy with my request?
Well I am simply playing by your rules.

Off topic,
I just learned that unlike the USA, Europe does not have an Amber Alert system in place...
And Europeans are supposedly at the cutting edge of everything...
mhhh...

http://www.rte.ie/news/2006/0404/fuel.html
Irish oil consumption 50% above EU average.
"Despite Ireland having considerable fewer cars per capita than the EU average we still consume 50% more oil per capita for transportation than the European average. This is because Irish people use their cars more intensively than other Europeans due to longer commuting distances, and poor public transport facilities."
"(Some report) warns that a sudden and more imminent onset of 'Peak Oil' could require the suspension of the Ireland's Kyoto environmental targets, because we would become more reliant on carbon intensive fuels like coal, gas, and peat."
And 90% of your energy is already carbon based. For shame! You should ride bicycles more.

But I think Europe does have an alert system for when a Mohammed cartoon is doodled. So, that's something.

What is the name of your NGO, Nora?
What is your definition of a troll?
Why are you here on a satire site you hate?
Why are you not answering Janny's questions about being banned?
